Hi, I am Nick. I use Reach, Node, and Shopify.

I have been programming since the late 2000s, where I began using code to enhance my art projects. A few years later I got a job and started tutoring Python and JavaScript.

In 2018, I began my first software engineering role. I worked on a three decades-old product registration system used by several hardware manufacturers (Nvidia, Epson, and more). I wrote a lot of SQL, PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, and even Perl. At one point I thought I finally understood Perl, but it was a shortlived experience.

After this job, I went to a mutual fund and worked on their Enterprise Data Management solution. This required data skills, SQL, and some Python scripts to process and massage data.

I left the mutual fund in early 2021 and created an automated trading bot that captured price points to buy and sell cryptocurrencies through the Coinbase API. I used Pandas and some finance libraries in Python.

I am currently learning the Shopify platform and focusing on becoming your next subject matter expert in Node, React, and HTML/CSS.
